Este asesoramiento se produce a petición de la Comisión Europea (CE) y tiene en cuenta los comentarios recibidos en su consulta de 2024 sobre el Proyecto de Norma de la VSME. La VSME fue aprobada por el Grupo Técnico de Expertos en Informes de Sostenibilidad del EFRAG el 22 de octubre de 2024 y por el Consejo de Informes de Sostenibilidad del EFRAG el 13 de noviembre de 2024.
La VSME
Esta norma voluntaria tiene por objeto permitir que las entidades que no están dentro del ámbito de aplicación de la Directiva sobre presentación de informes de sostenibilidad corporativa (CSRD) ayuden a las pymes a acceder a financiación sostenible. La VSME está diseñada para proporcionar un conjunto estandarizado de información que se utilizará en lugar de los esfuerzos actuales, que pueden incluir diversos cuestionarios y solicitudes de datos ESG.
El VSME incluye dos módulos: un módulo básico y un módulo integral. El EFRAG espera que estos dos módulos cubran la mayoría de las solicitudes de las partes interesadas que reciben las PYME, ofreciendo al mismo tiempo cierta flexibilidad.
Además de la norma, EFRAG planea seguir trabajando en iniciativas adicionales en 2025, que incluirán la emisión de guías de apoyo, materiales educativos, difusión, eventos de concientización y el monitoreo de herramientas y plataformas emergentes.

Nos complace ver la publicación de esta nueva norma que proporcionará a las pymes una forma voluntaria de responder a las solicitudes de datos de sostenibilidad de una manera coherente y estandarizada. En nuestra opinión, la elección de utilizar esta norma ayudará a las entidades a avanzar hacia un entorno de informes de sostenibilidad más estandarizado y útil para la toma de decisiones.
